ABOUT THE ACTUAL SKIN

1. What are OttoSkins?
OttoSkins are a thin, unique, stylish, and protective vinyl skin for you to individualize your personal electronic device. OttoSkins are made with a premium 3M ControltacTM adhesive allowing you to align your skin. The patented bubble-free ComplyTM technology makes for easy application and makes it so no sticky residue is left behind when the skin is removed from your device. OttoSkins have a scratch resistant coating that will help preserve the image and your device against scratching.

2. Will OttoSkins protect my device?
OttoSkins protect your device against most scratches and dings. But, it provides no protection from your device being dropped, thrown, stepped on, submerged, or whatever else you put your device through.

3. Do OttoSkins protect the screen on my device?
No, but we also sell invisible SHIELD™ by Zagg, the best screen protection available. You can find invisible SHIELD™ on our website.

4. How do I pick the right OttoSkins for me?
Pick the device you want to skin, and then pick an interest. Browse all the art in the interest you selected. Select the art you want to skin your device with... then buy it. If you can’t find the skin you are looking for, make sure you look at all the different interests. We are confident you will find something you like.

5. Will OttoSkins leave a mess on my device?
No. The high-grade 3m adhesive allows OttoSkins to simply peel off without residue.

6. Will my device fit in its dock, charger, or case after applying my OttoSkins?
Yes. OttoSkins are thin, and they don’t add any bulk to your device. You can fit your device in any compatible accessory you want. OttoSkins also don’t cover any of the ports, camera lenses, or sensors, etc. on your device.

7. Is my device still under factory warranty with OttoSkins applied?
In most cases, the application of OttoSkins will not void a device warranty. However, it may be good to double-check your device’s warranty to be certain. The skin is placed directly on the device and can be easily removed with no traces. OttoSkins will not be responsible for any damage caused by customization that was not already covered under your warranty.

8. How can I be updated when OttoSkins has new products?
OttoSkins will be releasing new designs on a regular basis, keeping current with the latest trends and styles. New designs will come from our talented design team at OttoSkins and from designs submitted by our customers via our popular online design contest.

The best way to keep up to date is to visit OttoSkins.com regularly and sign up for email updates, then we will automatically keep you informed of contest winners, discounts and special offers, and the updates of new devices as they become available.

9. Are OttoSkins reusable?
Although you could take the skin off the device and place it on the backing material until you want to use it again, OttoSkins doesn’t guarantee that it will work as effectively the second time around.

10. What comes in the package?
You will get your OttoSkins, application instructions, and a bonus custom OttoSkins sticker pack.

INSTALLATION

11. Are OttoSkins easy to apply?
Yes, OttoSkins are easy to apply. Each skin is custom designed and cut for the specific device. By following the instructions included in the packaging, you should have no problem applying OttoSkins on your device.

12. Are OttoSkins easy to remove?
Yes. When you are ready to change your style along with your mood, peel it off and enjoy a new skin.

13. How do I apply OttoSkins to my device?

1. Clean the device.
2. Peel the skin off the backing.
3. Line up skin using device cutouts.
4. Smooth the skin with your fingers.
5. Notice everyone admiring your new OttoSkins.

14. What if I get bubbles when I apply OttoSkins?
Smooth the skin with your fingers. If you get a large bubble or crease, gently lift it back up and smooth it again. Small bubbles will disappear after a time.

IMPORTANT: Lift back the skin carefully or you may stretch or damage your OttoSkins.

PAYMENT QUESTIONS

15. What forms of payment does OttoSkins.com accept?
We accept all major credit cards. Just click and provide the required information. Please use the exact billing information as it appears on your credit card statement.

16. Can I order without a credit card?
No. We currently only allow online orders using credit cards as the payment method.

17. I have Currency Exchange questions?
Currency exchanges are done at the time of purchase through your credit card company. Please contact your credit card company for details on their currency conversion rates.

SHIPPING INFORMATION

18. How soon will my OttoSkin(s) ship?
We do our best to ship the following business day. Please allow 4-6 days for standard delivery when UPS is used. You can expedite your order and receive it sooner. For orders placed outside of the U.S. or Canada we use the USPS "standard post". Sometimes postal services are slower, so be patient. It can take up to 2-3 weeks for some international locales. Also, "standard post" shipments are not insured and OttoSkins is not responsible for lost goods. Contact our customer service with additional questions.

19. How will my OttoSkins order be shipped?
All orders place in North America will be shipped using UPS. All international orders will be shipped using USPS.

20. Do you ship to PO boxes?
UPS is our primary carrier and they require street addresses when shipping within the United States or Canada. If you need shipment to a PO Box, we will ship using the US Postal Service. Please be aware that using the USPS will add few days to delivery.

21. Do you ship to my country?
If you can receive mail originating from the U.S., we can ship to your country.

22. How much does shipping cost?
You will see the shipping price at check out. Normally prices are $6-$10 per shipment. Multiple OttoSkins will be packaged together to ship in one package.

RETURN POLICIES

25. What is the OttoSkins return policy?
Un-opened OttoSkins may be returned or exchanged within 30 days. Otherwise, all returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee, and must first have a ‘Return Authorization’ in order to be accepted as a return. Contact ottoskinscustservice@me.com to receive a ‘Return Authorization’.

SKIN COVERAGE

26. What will it cover on my device?
On laptops it will cover just the top piece. OttoSkins cover all manufacture markings on laptops. It is just one solid piece (no cutouts). On phones, iPods, and gaming systems, a front and back piece are provided to complete the skin your device will be wearing (some products will vary). OttoSkins don’t cover any of the ports, camera lenses, or sensors, etc. on your device.

27. Does the apple logo on my laptop shine through?
Yes, dimly in low light conditions unless you are brave enough to cut out the logo on your own. OttoSkins does not recommend doing this.

CONTEST RULES/QUESTIONS

28. What kind of image can I enter?
Family photos, drawings, or any unique art. All art submitted must be created by you. No copies of copyrighted art, or photos that don’t belong to you, can be submitted.

OttoSkins reserves the right to refuse any entry based on content and taste. If your OttoSkins contest art is accepted, you will see it on our site. By submitting art, you give OttoSkins permission to use your image for placement on site.

29. What format/size should my contest entry be?
We accept jpeg, tiff, PDF, or vector based art. No larger than 18" x 18" inches, and 150 dpi. When you send your scaled down art for our contest, keep a high-resolution copy, so that if you win we can display a detailed photo of your winning art.

30. How does the contest work?
This is a monthly contest. Enter your OttoSkins contest art on our website. All entries must be entered by the15th of the month prior to the month it will be seen on OttoSkins.com. OttoSkins will review the entry and determine whether or not it will be one of the competing pieces of art. We will select 10 entries per month. If chosen, your entry will be posted, and we will inform you by email. You can then direct all your friends and family to OttoSkins.com to vote for your entry (limit one vote per person, per day). The winner will be announced at the end of the month.

31. What do I win?
The winner will receive their custom skin on their choice of 5 devices (that way you can share your winnings with your supporters). Extra skins can be ordered at the regular OttoSkins price for one week following the announcement of the winner.
